You’ve chosen a fabulous college at an internationally acclaimed university, and you’re excited to start the next chapter in your life: postsecondary education. You’ll learn and experience so much over the next four or more years, so you should be excited! But maybe you’re a little apprehensive… It’s a new school, with over 52,000 students, and in a city you may not be familiar with…
That’s where Orientation comes in! UC’s Orientation (aka Frosh Week) is designed specifically to orient all incoming students to university life. We’re busy organizing a week of activities and opportunities to orient you to campus and the City of Toronto and to transition you academically, all while having fun and making friends!
So what is Orientation, exactly? Frosh week is NOT hazing, nor does it involve initiation – you should know we do not tolerate this in any capacity. Instead, Orientation is six days full of programs designed to appeal to every incoming student, all inclusive, diverse and equitable. We offer something for everyone: academic workshops, tours of campus and Toronto, club nights, philanthropy, open mic nights, Varsity football games, a Hypnotist show, and many creative, fun events that allow you to make lots of friends.
We wish we could express how incredible Orientation really is at University College. All we can say is: you really don’t want to miss this. If you have any questions, feel free to send us an email at uc.orientation@utoronto.ca, or go to the Contact Us page to send us a comment!
Hope to see you in September,
