The University and Academic Affairs Commission has many mandates that include: bringing issues relating to the entire University to the UC community’s attention, informing students about opportunities within the University to get involved, and increasing the college’s ability to learn from our fun and informative academic workshops. Our commission intends to inform students about University Affairs through postings on the Lit website, as well as messages through list-servs relaying the most pertinent issues to students (e.g scholarships and bursaries). Additionally, a database will be created to include student involvement opportunities that UC students may always refer to to get involved within the University. Finally, our academic workshops and events include UC history week, tours of the UC building, Sudoku workshops, MCAT/LSAT prep sessions, and so on. This commission is relevant in every way to every UC student as academics and issues that affect the University day to day directly affects all students.
